A decision made!
Indeed, it was a tough but a meaningful decision. It has been too many years, we ever felt the zephyr of monsoon in the air, ever took a glimpse of clouds that formed just before the rain begins, ever felt the serein. It has been too long, that we got ourselves drenched in heavy downpours that escaped through small umbrellas which was never a use during monsoons. The rains we always missed, and made several attempts to reconstruct those wonderful drizzling days to our tiny ones with our limited vocabulary.
Finally, one fine morning, in our cosy little warm house at Doha, we took this decision, to relocate ourselves to India for good. Although, rain is an essential factor, more important is a career move for my partner and i am blessed with loads and loads of people around and never again going to miss my mother's tastes. Hoping My little earthquake is going to tremor with same intensity and high spirits as she used to be here. Atleast she will not get scared by ants anymore and get the meaning of water falling from sky
(Rain!)
The memories of Doha and Bahrain, remains refreshing and warm, and i will do post about it once in a while.
For the nonce, i take a leave from all my blog freinds, for couple of months. Hoping to join you all very soon and blogging from my home town Bangalore!!
My posts remain intermittent in coming days. Do keep a check here for some amusements and cooking on move.
Requests and orders on hold:

I will soon post all these…
Thanks for posting this, It’s just what I was trying to find on bing. I’d significantly rather hear opinions from an individual, rather than a corporate internet site, that’s why I like blogs so very much. Many thanks!
Aparna, that’s indeed a decision which many NRIs keep postponing till they muster up the ‘guts’ to end the never ending rat race for material riches in some alien land….we have set a target of 5 yrs as of now, sometimes even earlier…it is indeed a great feeling smelling the freshness of the rain fed mud….which we too miss ….Definitely ‘home is where we gather grace’….and I wish you gather all the grace back at home!
Aparna,
I wish you good luck in the decisions you have made and hope the future holds a lot of promises for you and your family. We will miss your blogs around here. Come back soon!
Cheers,
Nav
You are so lucky and what a great decision! Let me tell you, there is no suprise when you said one of the reason is the rains!
It is a valid valid reason if you ask me! I really really hope your little one will soak, play in the mud, drench to the skin and embrace nature other than wathcing nature on T.V. But dont break from posting, okay!
Good luck. We too wanns go back as soon as possible. So hope to meet you in B'lore
.

Great to hear that. Yes, it is a tough decision, but certainly a wise one. Being close to your roots is definitely rewarding. And as for a vegetarian dish in the clay pot…I'll wait. I am touched to see that you are so serious about it.
Wishing you and your partner lots of luck for your move. And a lot of energy…you'll need that.

, but life won't be as smooth as here…. got to lift the spirits high up…
Good luck with your move. Lucky you. Will be able to taste your mom's cooking.
Aparna: Thanks so much Krithika, just waiting to taste mom's cooking.:)
Thats one of my favorite words – zephyr. You have written about rain so beautifully. While in India I never liked the monsoon. Getting drenched on the way to work and feeling damp all day at work can take the fun out of the season. But reading your words really made me want to stand under a downpour
Congratulations to your hubby on the great opportunity. Have a safe move and do get back to blogging as soon as you can.
Good Luck
Aparna: Thanks Ashwini. Rain is something we miss so much over here. It does rains, in this arid region, but for a day or two in october. And then the whole country will be blocked with water as there are no proper drains. Most of the traffic would be halted and ongoing will be on hazard lights. So much for a day's rain
Anyways, i will be back soon… see ya..
Aparna, I will miss your lovely recipes and stories — wishing you all the best and will look for you back soon
Linda
